Ability Scores

Your ability scores represent your character’s strengths and weaknesses. Each ability score also determines additional statistics of your character.

Your ability scores improve over time. When a skill score increases there is a 1 in 6 chance that one of the associated ability scores also increases.

Charisma (CHA)

Charisma applies your social grace and sophistication. Skills like Deception, Diplomacy, and Divine spellcasting depend on Charisma.

Reputation. Your initial reputation is determined by your Charisma score. After you create your character, your reputation does not increase due to an increase in your Charisma. Reputation is increased by performing deeds that gets you more well known.

Perception (PER)

Perception is the measure of your ability to notice things, as well as the power of your senses.

Notice DC (N DC). If a creature is trying to avoid your detection, their stealth skill is tested against your Notice DC which equals 10 + your perception modifier.

Senses. You can study fine details and hear whispers at a distance in feet equal to your Perception score (Close). You notice regular details and noises within a number of feet equal to 10 times your Perception score (Medium). You hear loud noises and can target creatures a maximum of 30 times your Perception Score (Long).

Precision (PRC)

Precision applies your dexterity, and kinesthetic senses. Skills like Martial Arts, Marksmanship, and Stealth depend on Precision.

Reflex (REF)

Reflex measures your agility, natural reactions, and quickness.

Strength (STR)

Strength applies your ability to brace against impact, generating physical tension with your muscles, and using your body to generate force. Skills like Heavy Weapons, Blocking, and Swordsmanship depend on Strength.

Carry Capacity. Minor encumbrance for you is 10 times your Strength score, lowering your movement speed by half. Your maximum carry capacity is 20 times your Strength score. You can drag or lift up to 30 times your Strength score.

Wisdom (WIS)

Wisdom applies your willpower and your application of knowledge. Skills like Arcane spellcasting, Alchemy, and Engineering skills depend on Wisdom.

Memory. Your total memory is equal to your Wisdom score. Your memory increases when your Wisdom increases.

Vitality (VIT)

Vitality measures stamina, health, and lifeforce.

Health Points (HP). Vitality determines your health points (hp). Your hp equals twice your Vitality score.
